This Week’s Reading at First Light

by on December 1, 2011

We’ve read a handful of interesting biopics this week, including those of Michael Bloomberg, Bill Gates 2.0, and Jacqueline Novogratz; the latter being the front page for Forbes’ encouraging, if poorly researched, Impact 30 list. From Bloomberg:

Entrepreneurs can’t answer the questions that, for example, government should. ‘what’s it going to look like? How are you going to build it?’… You can’t answer those questions at the beginning.

In his Interview, Bloomberg talks about dealing with rejection–another topic we’ve been reading up on recently, including how VCs should and shouldn’t (and shouldn’t) say no.

We’re also brushing up on IP and start-ups, Maxwell’s demon, this year’s transparency index,

Insert a few more strings we’re brushing up on…
